"TRUST HIM"
In This Section
The first words that come out of a child’s mouth when learning to speak is usually “papa” or “mama” then the second word they learn to speak is “NO”. Has God ever told you “no”?

In 2 Samuel 7:1-29, we see where David was told “no” in building a house for God.
It’s been said, “God teaches us more from His denials than from His permissions”.  David had a heart of love and a deep desire to serve God and to show his gratitude for all that God had done for Him.  We also want to do as much for Him but the Lord knows what stands in front of us and He will  protect us when we ask for an answer.  We may not understand why, but later will see the reason for the “No”.

David, later in 1 Chronicles 22:7-9, is given the reason for the “No”.  We may face health issues, financial difficulties or struggles of all types as well as disappointments but know, as David did, that God desires for us to simply trust Him.   One day we will understand, maybe not in this life but for sure in eternity that God’s way was the best.

“Strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, ‘We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God’” Acts 14:22.
