God’s Word on Life
• Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you (Jeremiah 1:5)
• I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm. 139:14)
• Do not murder (Exodus 20:13) or shed innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-17).
Can God Forgive Us for Abortion?
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. (1 John 1:9)
Some Abortion Statistics in America
* About 4,000 abortions occur every day; that’s one abortion every 22 seconds. (Source: Focus on the Family)
* About 46 million abortions have occurred in America since abortions were legalized in 1973; that’s more than the entire population of California!
What Can We Do in an Effort to Reduce and Stop Abortion?
Pray together for life (James 5:16, II Corinthians 10:4)
Work together to protect life (James 2:26, 4:17)
Vote to select pro-life, God-fearing leaders (Proverbs 6:16-17, Exodus 18:21)
Prayer Points
• Pray that commitment to sexual purity increases
• Pray for healing of post-abortive women and men
• Pray for the church to speak out on behalf of the innocent unborn
• Pray against abortion, euthanasia, and embryonic stem cell research
• Pray for life to be honored in America (and Roe v. Wade overturned) |
