Marco and Monique Laura (Peru)

  • Marco and Monique moved to Pisco, Peru in December 2007 after a devastating earthquake struck San Andres, Pisco.  
  • The church, Capilla Cristiana de San Andres, Pisco  was officially planted in 2008.
  • The Lord has provided the church with a piece of land where construction is currently taking place.

Pasha Baranov and Family (Russia)

  • Pasha received the Lord in May of 1992 at one of the first outreaches by Calvary Chapel of Downey.
  • In November of 2004, Pasha became the pastor CC Vladimir and overseer of all the missions in the Vladimir region.
  • Currently there are 7 Calvary Chapels in the Vladimir region. (pic of the all the pastors below)

 

Jorge Monterroso and family (Guatemala)

  • Jorge Monterroso and his family moved to Guatemala and began CC Guatemala  in July 2005.
  • They converted their home into a church where they offer adult, youth,and children ministries.  
  • The church is undergoing construction with the desire to expand as more people come to hear the gospel.


Santiago Medina and family (Yucatan, Mexico)

  • Santiago Medina and his family moved to Merida, Yucatan and CC Merida began in July of 1998
  • There are 8 church plants established by CC Merida (Tabi,Hocaba,San Felipe,Tizimin, Valladolit, Cancun,Poniente, Panaba).
  • As well as a Bible College, a rehabilitation home, and a convalescent home.
  • Our Christian School is rapidly expanding and now offers daycare up to Junior High School education.  



Fernando Rodriguez and family (Cuba)

  • Fernando Rodriguez began serving as pastor of Iglesia Buenas Nuevas in Cuba for the last 17 years and has been involved with Calvary Chapel for the same amount of years.  
  • The church he serves at has established 8 church plants, as well as a Bible college.
  • Fernando serves as our main contact for our annual Cuban Pastor’s Conference which has taken place for the last 7 years.



Tom & Sheilani Maxwell (Philippines)

  • Tom Maxwell, has been serving as a missionary in Cebu City, Philippines since 1999.  (He traveled to the Philippines for the first time in 1992.
  • Tom currently serves as Senior Pastor of Shepherds Heart Calvary Chapel in Barangay Lahug in Cebu City on the Island of Cebu in the Philippines.  
  • It is a small church reaching out primarily to 2 squatter areas ministering to over 100 adults and 300 children weekly.  
  • The church has a full range of ministries for children of all ages and adults.  Almost 300 children are served weekly in the feeding ministries and church members are educated continually through Basic Christianity courses, Evangelism courses and other education as the need arises.


Jay Dangers and Family (Uganda)

  • Jay and Vicki Dangers are the founders of an orphanage in Uganda (East Africa), called New Hope.
  • New Hope Uganda’s Kasana Children’s Center was established in 1988 in the heart of the Luwero Triangle with the purpose of bringing the Fatherhood of God to the fatherless.  The Kasana Children’s Center provides the children and young people with the basics such as God’s Word, love, food, clothing, shelter, plus the chance to get an education, discipleship and guidance.  
  • In addition to the seven family villages, the main site also serves as the home of all the staff, has a clinic, Hope House (for abandoned babies), a primary vocational school, a secondary school, and a church.
  • We are very excited that after years of preparation, we have officially opened our Kobwin Children’s Center. By His grace, we are now helping to bring the Fatherhood of God on a full-time basis to former child soldiers and other affected (“Invisible Children”) by the Lord’s Resistance Army atrocities in northern Uganda



Juan Domingo (Horizontes Ministries, CC Ensenada)

  • After graduation from college in 1978, Juan had a heart for the people of Mexico. He moved here from the United States, changed his name, and immigrated into Mexico. God inspired him to establish a church in Mexico City.
  • In 1992, the Domingos (Tania (wife), Angelica, Debbie, and Jonathan) moved to Queretaro, Mexico and again God used their lives to establish another church and School of Evangelism which continues today. In 1997, God moved again in the Domingos' lives and they relocated to Ensenada, Mexico.
  • Calvary Chapel Bible College Mexico is part of Horizontes Ministries and is providing both Mexican and international students with solid biblical teaching and training to be effective as they go out to serve.


Bill & Lenore Martin (Wycliffe Bible Translators)

  • In 1977, Bill and Lenore joined Wycliffe Bible Translators and studied linguistics to prepare for Bible translation work.
  • The Martin family (Lenore (wife), Joel, and Jason ) traveled to Papua New Guinea in 1980 to work among the Nyindrou people, one of more than 850 distinct language groups residing in that south Pacific country.
  • There are around 2,500 languages in the world still without access to any Bible in a language they understand (450 of those are in Papua New Guinea). Bill is now combining over 25 years of Bible Translation experience with his computer programming skills to help develop computer software programs for translators. He is currently working on “Adapt It”, which is an easy to use software program, designed to assist national translators and greatly speed up the work of Bible translation.

Diane Smith (YWAM Lebanon,Pennsylvania)

  • Being sent out as a long-term missionary in June of 2004, Diane served for 2½ years as a tent-making teacher on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic.  She taught over 160 Spanish speaking students during that time to speak English.
  • She was teaching English as a Second Language with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.      
  • She will continue in the East Coast participating with various YWAM bases as well as ministering in CC Lebanon, Pennsylvania.


Felicia Knoth (YWAM Chico, CA)

  • Felicia has been involved in Missions for more than 5 years, traveling all over the world and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
  • Felicia is currently helping YWAM Chico campus with its schools, events, conferences, and retreats.
  • Felicia is supporting, praying, encouraging, discipling, and serving within the YWAM Chino base.  


Chad Naaktgeboren and family (South Africa)

  • Chad Naaktgeboren and his family (Heather (wife), Luke, Hannah, Christian, and Leah) moved to Johannesburg in January 2007 as they headed the call to plant a church there.
  • The Naaktgeboren’s have planted Calvary Chapel Johannesburg, partnered with Christ Church Christian Care Centre (5 cees - an orphanage), and began the spiritual overseeing of Drug Free SA, a Christian rehabilitation centre.
